Sean Doyle and Hed Kandi Events

Hed Kandi is a UK-based record label and a music brand which was established in 1999 by Mark Doyle, specialising in commercial house music. Hed Kandi’s catalogue includes both artist albums and various genres of club compilations. The name is a modified spelling of “head candy”, reminiscent of the expression eye candy.

In January 2006, Hed Kandi Records was acquired by the UK record company Ministry of Sound for an undisclosed sum.[1] Since then, Mark Doyle and his team created a new record label, Fierce Angel. The leadership of Hed Kandi was taken over by Dan Baxter, who had previously worked for the label/brand when it was owned by UK media company, the Guardian Media Group. As of 2009 the Hed Kandi brand, together with Ministry of Sound, belonged to the MSHK Group
